  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Lozano was San Diego's big move ahead of their first season, penning a four-year deal to join the Southern California side. He registered an assist in his debut last week – with SDFC beating LA Galaxy 2-0 in the first game in club history.

  • WHAT TYLER HEAPS SAID

SDFC sporting director Tyler Heaps outlined the situation following the game: "It's lower body, and something we'd like to do more scans on that will obviously happen tomorrow. What I can say is that he's in a positive mood now and we hope to get him back as quickly as possible."

The Mexican winger will undergo further tests before determining how long he might be out for. His participation in Mexico's Nations League finals squad on March 20 would seem to be in doubt.
